There are a number of projects that have had great literacy outcomes.  They involve a range of strategies.  Using Ghosts to Bust the Motivation Barrier was particularly successful.

The project Using Ghosts to bust the Motivation barrier was an amazing success with year seven students (12-13 year olds) who were seen as underachieving.  These students showed all the classic signs of not being successful at school and this project changed that in just 16 weeks.  Looking back it all made sense and I have seen a number of projects where similar dynamics emerged.

Other projects like Nightcliff History project and twist A plot stories also delivered great educational outcomes with strong literacy results as well as the other aspects of curruculum relagterd to the proces.

The multimedia assignment also produces great results.  This process involves writing, oral language, media skills and research skills to name but a few.
