Policy Overview
Sustainable environments to live, work and play in reflect the core policy element of Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) as a guiding decision making framework.
I’ve lived in Darwin for 43 years and it’s a great place. It’s a great place to live, work and play in but we’ll need to work hard to keep it that way. Community action and involvement are keys to achieving this. We have to develop plans and work on them long term if we are going to keep the “feel” of Darwin and build solutions to our significant problems.
I’m focused on three aspects of our environment – the physical or natural environment, the social environment and the work or economic environment. All of these are changing and this change needs to be channelled into maintaining our lifestyle.
