CONNECTING WITH THE COMMUNITY

Whilst people are the basis of community it is important to connect with each other more. Community led independents are focused on community and making sure their views are heard. We will make sure we have mechanisms to make this happen. Technology is increasingly playing a role in giving people access to information.

Advances in information technology can make it easier to do things and to find out what’s going on.  I’m planning to embed this technology approach into my operations so that people can keep in touch with issues more readily and input their ideas and feelings around issues more easily.

It’s through this sort of openness that we maintain community respect and a sense of inclusion  and help to ensure government stays in touch with the community.
